What do we go through just trying to create a name, title, or moniker for an endeavor that is meant to be permanent or everlasting? This question is perhaps a major struggle for writers, artists, composers and any who want to make their mark on the human existence. Two practices I have learned not so long ago are: to keep it simple and not be self serving. Naming "The Standard Chronicles" certainly keeps to the first practice;
the second maybe not so much. I will let the reader judge.
Standard is the model of my Harley-Davidson, a 2006 Softail Standard to be exact. Since this blog will periodically muse over the spirituality of motorcycle riding, I guess it fits. But it also fits because Faith and Spirituality always seeks to grow to a higher standard. The path demands a constant upward grade. The minute we relax our standards of practice we will begin falling off and retreating. We begin to miss the Mark.
Thanks for stopping by!
